SyncEdit is a full-screen message for use on electronic bulliten boards which
gives the user a full-screen message editor with a word processor feel.
SyncEdit includes a sleek easy to navigate user interface. With nearly all
functions available through sub-menus, you and your users won't have to
remember those cryptic keystrokes that most full-screen editors force on you.
Also, the most common functions have "hot keys" linked to them to satisfy the
more advanced user.
SyncEdit includes an extremely capable spell checker that functions much in
the same way spell checkers in word processors do. Spell check options
include; "Change" which allows you to edit miss spelled words or choose a
replacement from a list of up to ten words, "Skip" or "Skip All" allows you
to skip a miss spelled word or to skip over the word through out the entire
message. The spell checker also includes the ability for users to add words
to their own personal dictionaries. Fast and user friendly!
SyncEdit also includes advanced features such as a complete set of block
manipulation functions, search/replace functionality, and a ASCII upload
function. Everything you need to make creating and editing your messages a
breeze.
New to SyncEdit are user selectable taglines. SyncEdit's tagline facility
supports up to a thousand taglines and functions in much the same way as
off-line readers do. Also, another new feature is the ability for SyncEdit
to censor each message written with it. The words to screen out are
contained in an ASCII coded text file for easy editing.
SyncEdit doesn't require a BBS in order to function either. This makes
SyncEdit a great choice for use with off-line mail readers.
A whole set of sysop only functions makes the sysops job easier as well.
These include the ability to import a file into SyncEdit, save a message to
disk, and a entire host of sysop-only "hot keys" which include sysop<-->user
chat, remote keyboard lock-out, drop a user to BBS, hang-up on a user, or
drop to DOS even when a user is using SyncEdit! Also included are sysop
macros, file importing macros, and random system taglines.
Starting with this version, SyncEdit now includes the functionality of both
SyncEdit and SyncEdit/G (both versions were combined to form one program).
This means that while SyncEdit includes special automatic support for
Synchronet BBS users, SyncEdit will also work equally as well on other BBS
software packages that include support for external full-screen message
editors.
Feature for feature, you can't beat SyncEdit!
